We are looking to recruit a Supervisor to join our

Concrete Department

, based in our

Knowsley Manufacturing site

. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Concrete Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The role involves supervising a team of operatives, managing workflow and resources, and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with concrete and hold a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the concrete production team to meet daily targets and quality standards. Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are manufactured to quality standards and customer specifications. Ensure all concrete batching and pouring operations are carried out safely and efficiently. Coordinate the use of raw materials and equipment to minimise waste and downtime. Operate FLT as required to transport materials, load/unload deliveries, and assist production. Monitor and maintain concrete mix designs to ensure consistency and compliance. Conduct daily checks on equipment and report faults or maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate production records and complete shift reports. Promote and enforce health and safety procedures, including PPE usage and risk assessments. Liaise with other departments (e.g. logistics, maintenance) to ensure smooth production flow. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the concrete yard and working areas.

Skills and Experience Required

Proven experience working with concrete in a manufacturing or construction environment. Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred. Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence - counterbalance (essential). Good understanding of health & safety practices in an industrial setting. Ability to interpret technical instructions and production plans. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Reliable, proactive, and able to work well under pressure.

Pay: Up to 13.39 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
