We are looking for a Supervisor-Driver to head up our team at our Barrowby Depot: Sheepwash Lane, A1/A52 Slip Road South, Barrowby, Grantham Lincolnshire NG31 8NX

A full enhanced DBS check will be performed on any candidates and we would look to train any younger or new to transport applicants, who have the right outlook and commitment to the business.

There is a career progression in Passenger Service Transport from D1 or D and from Supervisor to Office based CPC holder up to Transport Manager. It is a sector of work for any age of committed hardworking individual.

The Supervisory Aspect of the role will include

all

the supervisory duties:

Ability to drive/cover all routes

Ability to motivate a team/Proven track record in motivating a team

Ability to learn new systems; raise job cards for the workshop; help Business Support Supervisor with invoicing

Completion of the suite of Supervisor Reports comprising 4 documents

Distribute/organise rotas and bus routes.

Excel and Word skills.

Health and Safety observed in the depot

Legal Compliance of the Vehicles; timely presentation of vehicles according the maintenance schedule

Management skills to continue to deliver a strong reliable service

Organise logistics and vehicle movements

Toolbox talks

Vehicle Defecting System observed

1:1 appraisal with staff are completed 6-monthly-annually as appropriate

Work cooperatively with the Barrowby Workshop in order to manage the depot

The Driver Aspect of the role will include

all

the driver duties. CallConnect - 07:00-13:00 and/or 13:00-19:30. Inter-depot co-operation occasionally helping out on SEN contracts.

Clean current driving record

Complete all CallConnect /Complete log Sheets

Confidence taking money and giving change/issuing tickets/verifying passes

Dress professionally and in accordance with company's dress code

Driving according to the road regulations

Enjoy interacting with the general public/SEND passengers

Ensure that vehicles are kept clean both inside and outside

Foster a relationship based on co-operation and good communication with LCC Matrix

Helping passengers on and off the vehicle where necessary

Observes Rotas

Patient Manner

Perform Daily Defect Walk Around checks to ensure the vehicle is safe

Planning routes in case of diversions

Report any case of accident, injury or damage

Strong driving skills-Strong customer services skills

Wheelchair securing

The role will be salaried at 39 hours at 36,500.00 p.a. with the possibility to earn overtime on a Saturday on CallConnect at drivers' rate of pay. D or D1 License with current CPC would be preferable; DBS can be applied for once candidate in position.
