Job Description

We at Walker Slater are looking to find a full time Supervisor to join our team on Brunswick Street. We are looking for candidates who have at least a 1 year of experience in a similar role in retail, either a supervisory or senior sales role. Great organisational skills are key to the role, as is some team supervision experience and lots of great customer service experience. This is a full time 40 hour position with weekend availability an essential requirement. Job Purpose:



All Tailoring, pining and fitting training will be provided on site on a one to one basis with an experienced team.



To support and assist the Management team in the smooth running of the store. Supervision of the sales team in their service and awareness of the standards of replenishment and housekeeping Walker Slater require. A Supervisor is key to the development of the team and the growth of sales in store. Stock awareness and product knowledge are vital, along with excellent organisation and forward planning skills. The Supervisor role is an opportunity for the right person to excel into a succession plan for future store management. Strict attention to detail in all aspects of the standards and procedures are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Supervision of the sales team Industry knowledge and interest Maintaining the luxury standards of service already in place at Walker Slater Feedback on sales trends and product information Placement of new lines onto the shop floor, following company guidelines Meeting deadlines Encouraging a positive store environment for staff and clients Completion of all administration on time Excellent personal time management Forward planning: day, week, month, year Great communication through all levels of the business Stockroom maintenance including stocktaking Accountability for stock loss Following disciplinary and grievance procedure Take on other duties and responsibilities as required by the business

Security:



The management team are responsible for the training, development and awareness of Security in their store. All staff must be aware of the importance of all aspects of Security in store. Awareness of customers and the product are vital at all times. Cash handling and credit card fraud training must be updated regularly. The management team will be accountable for any stock loss their store incurs.

Health and Safety:



The management team are responsible for the training and maintenance of all aspects of Health and Safety in their store. Administration and communication of any Health and Safety issues are the sole duty of the managers on site. Consistent checks and assessment of the store and the team to comply with company and legal policy is an essential part of the role. Awareness in the team of their personal accountability and duty of care to the public must be logged, signed off and updated regularly.
