We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join our team at Bitterne Library as a Supervisor. Libraries are open to all and central to their communities so you will be meeting and supporting local residents in their information, leisure and reading needs every day. You will work with your Area Coordinator to build a flexible and active team with a strong customer focus. You will be confident in supervising all day-to-day operations of any Southampton City library, including the administration of health and safety. Supervisors are required to be the Responsible person for their building and to act as a Keyholder. You will be very well organised and have strong administrative skills to keep the library running efficiently. Your work will be varied and rewarding. Each day you might be, helping people with their digital and IT needs or supporting people to find books and information resources. You will be instrumental in promoting libraries and a love of reading to everyone, especially to families. You will love helping people and be confident in assisting people with the technology available in and through libraries. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and capable individual looking to contribute to a dynamic and progressive team.

Hours are

Week 1

Friday 9.30 am - 5.00pm (30min break)



Saturday 9.00 am - 4.00pm (30min break)



Week 2

Wednesday 9.30am - 7.00pm (60min break)



Friday 9.30 am - 5.00pm (30min break)
