We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a Supplier Engagement Sustainability Manager to join the team.
In this role you will work as part of the Supplier Engagement team to build trusted partnerships with suppliers by providing resources and support relating to our Sustainability and Technical priorities and strategies. You will also act as the organiser and key contact for all of Sustainability, Technical and Quality. This includes owning the engagement strategy, managing the comms plan, organising webinars, posting and creating resources to be available to suppliers on the training site.
You'll work across different teams identifying the opportunities that support the launch of new sustainability tools and processes to suppliers, to creating and delivering new learning to help drive the Tesco sustainability strategy with our suppliers.
You will be responsible for
Reporting into the Supplier Engagement team, you will work alongside the Sustainability and Technical teams to develop training and events for our Product Supplier Partners. You will have a dotted line into the Head of Environment and the Technical leadership team. Our success is dependent on our suppliers working with us to deliver a sustainable food system.
Two key areas of responsibility:
1. Supplier sustainability data asks
2.Technical: Responsibility for Technical briefings/events. Key contact for technical supplier requirements e.g. Training
Sustainability:
- Ensuring that the sustainability strategy (Environment, Human Rights, Waste, Sustainable Agriculture, Human Rights and Health) is implemented with a consistent approach to all UK/ROI Product suppliers - this includes communications, training events (webinars), training resources available, information published on supplier training site. assembling summaries of all sustainability requests and keeping the training site up to date.
Own relationship with, Sustainability Programme Manager, Anthesis
Responsible for SE of all 8-sustainability data asks Gender, M2030, SME, Food Waste, EUDR, Valpak, 3Keel, Santander sustainable finance scheme, to advise on timings, drafting comms, webinars.
Technical:
Responsible for 20+ technical events per year, including 3 per category and more specialised events on Site standards etc.
Manage webinars, including coordinating subject experts, reviewing presentations, ensuring all brand guidelines are met and internal reviews completed, facilitating the webinars.
Working closely with the Technical teams to communicate new standards and requirements
Coordinating and manage the suite of Technical and Sustainability resources available to suppliers on the the Supplier training sites; including ensuring all resources meet branding guidelines
You will need
Experience working within a retail/FMCG context
Experience working on engagement programmes in complex supply chains
Experience working in sustainability within the supply chain/manufacturing
Experience with presentations from development stage to delivery
Experience within a learning role of identfying requriements and the optimum resources to support customers
Experience of corporate sustainability issues
