Supply Chain Assistant -- Woodlodge Manufacturing & Imports



Role Overview



This role supports the day-to-day supply chain operations at Woodlodge, with a strong focus on overseas manufacturing, container imports, stock control, and supplier coordination. The position is hands-on and operational, working closely with factories and freight partners across

China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy and Germany

as well as the Buying, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure product flows smoothly from factory to warehouse.

Key Responsibilities



Support overseas purchasing activities, including raising purchase orders and tracking factory confirmations. Liaise with overseas suppliers to monitor production progress and agreed lead times. Track container movements from factory dispatch through to UK arrival. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and UK transport providers. Monitor ETDs, ETAs, vessel schedules, and port updates, escalating delays where required. Ensure all import documentation is correctly prepared and filed, including: commercial invoices, Packing lists, Bills of lading, Shipping confirmations*
Support customs clearance processes in conjunction with freight partners Assist with container planning, booking slots, and warehouse delivery scheduling Support stock takes, reconciliations, and investigation of variances Update ERP systems with accurate order, shipment, and stock data Assist with general warehouse and operational tasks when required Follow company procedures and health & safety standards

Requirements & Experience



Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience in manufacturing, importing, or container-based supply chains is an advantage. Understanding of overseas lead times, production schedules, and shipping processes. Confident using Excel for tracking orders, containers, and delivery schedules. Experience with ERP or stock management systems preferred. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced, seasonal environment. Willingness to support hands-on operational and warehouse activities when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
