We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement & Supply Chain Consultants to support our clients across the UK defence sector and potentially beyond. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, optimising and delivering supply chain services across complex programmes.
As an emerging service within the established Support Engineering team you will shape Whitetree's procurement and supply chain services, collaborating with our Technical and Strategic Services teams. This is your opportunity to join early, influence our direction, and drive future success.

Key Responsibilities:


Assess and optimise supply chain readiness, including supplier tiering, category management, inventory management, and obsolescence mitigation. Materials requirements demand and long-term sustainment planning. Demand signals and methodologies understood and applied. Identify, scope, and select Supply Chain for development, production or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) bids and proposals, contributing to overall business development efforts. Lead clients in defining, designing and achieving procurement and supply chain objectives, ensuring alignment with broader business and operational strategies. Develop procurement strategies and plans. Ability to design and implement new supply chain solutions and works transfer activities. Plan and deliver supply chain work packages, ensuring alignment with project plans, timelines, and commercial frameworks. Engage and manage key stakeholders across client and supplier organisations to ensure collaboration, buy-in, and successful delivery of supply chain initiatives. Support digital transformation by identifying and implementing data-driven tools and technologies that improve supply chain visibility, resilience, and efficiency. Analyse supply chain performance data to develop actionable insights and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise in supply chain best practices, risk mitigation, opportunity realisation and regulatory compliance. Supplier Management, proactive issue identification and resolution. Ability to prepare negotiation plans. Seasoned negotiator with proven track record in achieving positive outcomes in key areas such as pricing, terms, conditions etc.

Required Requirements:


Extensive experience in defence, civil or military aerospace, or automotive procurement and or supply chain roles. Strong understanding of MOD acquisition and support processes (CADMID/CADMIT lifecycle). Familiarity with UK/US Defence Standards Defence Conditions and flow downs. Experience using ILS software tools and ERP/MRP systems. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Skilled in leading consultative project interventions. Accomplished negotiator. Ability to produce high-quality documentation and deliver presentations to clients. MCIPS, or similar professional qualification is highly desirable. Current right to live and work in the UK. Current SC clearance or willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check.
Willingness and ability to work from home and travel for client engagements, including overnight stays away from home around the UK when required Willing to use existing supplier network to benefit clients and identify business development opportunities to onboard suppliers as new clients.
