(Europe) is responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of goods, information, and resources throughout the entire supply chain, from suppliers to customers. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations, minimizing costs, and meeting customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
The specific duties of a Supply Chain Coordinator can vary by industry, but typically include:
Procurement and Purchasing
: Sending requests for quotes, raising purchase orders, negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers, and ensuring timely sourcing of materials.
Logistics and Transportation
: Organizing and tracking inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating delivery schedules with freight forwarders, and ensuring proper documentation for international trade (e.g., customs procedures).
Order Processing
: Overseeing the full order cycle, from preparation to fulfilment, and collaborating with sales, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution
: Addressing disruptions quickly, such as shipment delays, production issues, or quality concerns, by implementing contingency plans and conducting root cause analysis.
Data Analysis and Reporting
: Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like inventory turnover and order fulfilment rates, preparing reports, and using data to identify inefficiencies and support strategic decisions.
Compliance and Quality
: Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and internal quality specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
