Job Description

Based on the edge of Carmarthenshire, Gower View Foods is a dynamic, fast moving independent food business which specialises in the manufacture and packing of dairy based products. A number of well-established retail labels and also our own award-winning brand are packed on site.

The factory is a modern self-contained purpose built manufacturing unit situated on a dedicated food park, with easy access to the M4.

As part of our portfolio expansion, several exciting opportunities have recently arisen within Operations. These are full-time roles, based on site.

Job Summary



The Supply Chain Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of goods, materials, and information throughout the organization's supply chain. This role involves coordinating procurement, production planning, stock management, logistics, and vendor relationships to meet goals for quality, delivery, and efficiency. The Supply Chain Executive acts as a key link between suppliers, internal departments, and customers, ensuring on-time fulfilment and optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities



1. Procurement & Vendor Management



Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement.

2. Inventory & Materials Management



Maintain optimal stock levels to balance cost and service requirements. Oversee inventory tracking, stock rotation, and warehouse management. Conduct periodic inventory audits and resolve discrepancies. Forecast demand and plan materials procurement accordingly.

3. Logistics & Distribution



Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods. Liaise with suppliers, transporters and freight forwarders to manage shipment schedules.

4. Planning & Coordination



Collaborate with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business goals. Develop and implement short-term and long-term supply chain plans. Support demand forecasting and sales & operations planning (S&OP) processes. Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance supply chain performance.

5. Data Management & Reporting



Prepare month end stock reporting and valuation Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for management review. Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.

Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficient in data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, etc.). Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
