Role Profile:
We are seeking a dynamic
Supply Chain Manager
to lead and optimise the supply chain operations across two manufacturing sites, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, information, and products from suppliers (UK, Europe, and Far East) to the production facility.
This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, implementing innovative systems and processes, and aligning supply chain strategy with overall business objectives.
The Supply Chain Manager will champion cross-site coordination, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement to support high-quality, on-time production and customer delivery.
As the Supply Chain Manager your responsibilities will include:
Oversee and coordinate supply chain activities across both manufacturing sites
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new supply chain systems and digital tools across both sites
Collaborate with IT, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies (e.g., ERP upgrades, warehouse management systems, demand planning tools)
Drive process re-engineering initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance data visibility
Champion change management efforts by engaging stakeholders, delivering training, and ensuring adoption of new systems and processes
Monitor post-implementation performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously refine systems to meet evolving business needs
Monitor and optimise inventory levels to balance cost and service levels
Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Experience and Skills to be considered:
5-10 years
of progressive experience in supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) desirable but not essential* Proven track record of
managing multi-site operations
and coordinating cross-functional teams
Excellent
leadership and communication
abilities and stakeholder management abilities
Experience in managing a Far East supply chain is desirable
Implementing
new systems and digital tools
Managing
supplier relationships
(UK, Europe, and Far East)
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and sustainability practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools
