Role Overview:


This is a hands-on, full-time position for a supply chain professional who will be responsible for managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, and inventory systems to support our production of compliant fire doors.

Key Responsibilities:



Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective terms and discounts, particularly on high-volume stock items. Manage supplier contracts and performance, ensuring timely delivery of materials and parts to meet production schedules. Place and monitor purchase orders based on production forecasts and inventory levels. Collaborate closely with the production team to pre-emptively order materials in line with schedules. Handle supplier defect issues, coordinating replacements or credits as required. Maintain and update the inventory management system with accuracy. Generate regular reports on stock levels, supplier performance, and cost analysis. Source and evaluate new suppliers and materials when necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, especially relating to fire door components and assemblies.

Requirements:



Proven experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment. Strong technical knowledge of materials, ironmongery, and door components is essential. Experience with fire doors or other regulated/compliant construction products is highly desirable. Proficiency in Xero accounting software (POs) and MRP systems. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and reporting abilities.
