About the Role:
The Supply Chain Supervisor / Stock Controller will oversee inventory management, coordinate supply chain activities, and ensure the smooth flow of goods from suppliers/internal department to customers.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal stock levels, improving efficiency, and leading the overall supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Monitor, track, and maintain optimal inventory levels across all stock locations
Conduct regular stock counts (cycle counts and full stocktakes) and reconcile discrepancies
Implement stock control procedures to minimize stock loss and damage
Manage stock replenishment processes to ensure product availability
Supply Chain Coordination
Purchase and coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure materials are available in due time to meet production/assembly demands timely deliveries
Monitor and improve supplier performance, lead times, and compliance with service level agreements
Support procurement by providing accurate stock and usage data for purchasing decisions
Reporting and Analysis
Generate accurate reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and stock movements
Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, stock turnover, and order fulfilment rates
Team Supervision
Lead and supervise a team of warehouse, stock control and admin staff
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback
Ensure adherence to health & safety, company policies, and best practices
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in stock control, inventory management, or supply chain operations
Supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of stock control and supply chain processes & systems
Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Excel (e.g., ERP systems, WMS)
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
