We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Supply Technicians at the 48 Civil Engineer Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath , United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in supply operations, such has determining stock levels based on usage, inventory and demands, supply transactions and performing administrative office support. You will be responsible for conducting extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns. You will provide supply support and determine procurement source and method for overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring procurement. Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. You will prepare recurring and special report and perform administrative office support functions and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials. You will use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions; and supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
2. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system; correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports; and various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
3. Skill in typing, a qualified typist is required.
4. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems; and to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
5. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
The employee may be assigned other duties not included in this PD, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. The employee will be required to escort vendors on base to Material Control, other locations and off base again.
The position requires the person to have a full UK driving License, a valid CAT B driving license will be required.
Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a Fixed schedule Mon-Fri 0800-1600 where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.

You will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
