We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Supply Technicians at the 48 Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath , United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?

This position is responsible for managing the full life cycle of a wide variety of supplies, from receipt and storage to issuance and replenishment. The role involves performing tasks related to receiving, storing, issuing, and replenishing authorized supplies, ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization. A key responsibility is maintaining appropriate stock levels, which requires reviewing stock records and calculating replenishment needs using fixed mathematical formulas. When stock levels approach minimums, you will ascertain whether the supply item has changed and, if appropriate, authorize a requisition.

You will also be responsible for maintaining property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, screening reference files, conducting data searches, and distributing output files. Document control work related to the processing of supply transactions is also a core function, including processing receipt, shipment, and/or adjustment documents following established policies and procedures.

This position involves providing assistance to customers, storage depots, or other organizations, and responding to visitor and telephone inquiries regarding supply actions or reasons for delay. General clerical support work, including maintaining and annotating files to provide for easy and timely retrieval/location of material, is also included.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?

1. Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods.

2. Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and stock control.

3. Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.

4. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.

5. Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?

1.You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.

2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.

3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.

4. Overtime may be required.

5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

7. The duties of this position require the employee to operate a motor vehicle. An appropriate, CAT B valid driver's license is required.

8. May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

9. Employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for this position.

10. May be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

11. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing; however, positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.

12. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a Fixed Schedule (Mon-Fri 08-00-1630) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies
