Job Description
We are looking for a
dedicated and compassionate Support Worker
to assist a client who isDeaf
and requires support withcommunication at home and while attending college
.Location:
ReadingHours:
12 hours per dayPay Rate:
13 per hourAbout the Role:
You will play a vital role in supporting the client's daily routines, facilitating effective communication in various settings, and promoting independence both at home and in educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support communication in British Sign Language (BSL) or other appropriate methods Assist with daily living tasks and routines Accompany and support the client while at college Promote a safe, respectful, and empowering environment
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting Deaf individuals or working in communication support roles BSL skills (preferred) or willingness to learn Patient, reliable, and empathetic Able to work 12-hour shifts
