A look into the role

Our Technical Support Analyst will be responsible for helping with the day-to-day support and operation of our Group\'s ICT infrastructure. You will provide support on a wide range of platforms including Windows, Linux and VMWare and on supporting products like Office 365, SharePoint, and SQL Server.

As Technical Support Analyst you will:

  • Proactively work with hiring managers to plan for future workforce planning & resourcing needs.
  • Log technical support calls with 3rd party.
  • Provide technical support of system and application software.
  • Provide technical support of hardware (PC\'s, servers, printers, network and telecoms\' equipment).
  • Provide technical input on business/IS projects.
  • Configure and install servers, printers and network equipment.
  • Perform regular systems checks and system monitoring.
  • Maintain system backups and backup schedules.
  • Maintain company standards of data security and confidentiality.
  • Adhere to legal requirements on software licensing.
Skills for Success

Joining us as Technical Support Analyst, the minimum criteria you\'ll need is:
  • Previous experience in an IT role.
  • A logical approach to technical problem analysis and resolution.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of VMWare, SANs and associated technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP.
  • A full current UK driving licence & access to a vehicle.
The attributes you\'ll need include:
  • Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours (24-hour) on-call rotation.
  • Good customer facing skills and a strong service focus.
If is desirable if you had:
  • Knowledge and experience in any of Linux/Unix, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • A third-level IT or industry-specific qualification (such as MCSE) or equivalent.
  • Experience in configuring Cisco network devices and telecommunications equipment.
  • Experience in installing and configuring a range of hardware devices.
  • Experience in Internet security and firewall management.
  • Experience of carrying out administrative tasks.
  • Experience in using a helpdesk/service desk management application.
