Sustain the Change Ltd is a young, purpose-driven consultancy founded in 2024 by Scott Duncan. The business supports community development, social value, and sustainability projects across Renfrewshire and Scotland. As a neurodivergent founder with ADHD and dyslexia, Scott uses Access to Work to help manage workload, organisation, and project delivery while continuing to support local charities and community organisations.
Role Description
I'm looking to work with a self-employed support worker who can help me stay organised, focused and on top of admin, projects and day-to-day tasks. This support is funded through the UK Access to Work scheme and is designed to help me manage the practical impacts of ADHD and dyslexia while running my business. This is 8 hours per week and expected to run for 3 to 12 months, depending on the person we choose for the role.
Experience or Qualifications
Essential
- Registered as self-employed and able to invoice for your time
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to break tasks into simple, manageable steps
- Confident using email, calendars, shared documents and basic digital tools
- Reliable, patient and comfortable working alongside a neurodivergent person
- Good communication skills, especially for clarifying tasks and helping plan workloads
- Flexible in your approach
- Able to take responsibility for your own workload
- Willing to learn simple project-tracking tools
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience supporting people with ADHD, dyslexia or other neurodivergent conditions
- Background in admin, support work, coaching or PA roles
- Familiarity with the Access to Work process
- Experience with tools like MS Teams, OneDrive and AI tools
