Vacancy: 1 Support Childcarer in Langside Glasgow After School based

12.5-16 hours a week

Hours Mon-Fri 3-5:30pm or 3-5pm negotiable if you don't want to work a Friday we do have flexibility

We are seeking a Kind, enthusiastic individual to join our friendly supportive team at LASCCA an established after school care service. This vacancy is for 12.5 hours a week covering term time only.

will work as a second job or supporting college or Uni student or just to gain experience in this field.

Play and fun activities for children aged 5-12 years of age.

Setting up play equipment and making sure play areas are safe, supervising children.
Having an interest in sports or specialist projects would be beneficial. But a friendly caring chatty fun personality is super Important.

Conditions

The Children sometimes like to play outside dens, football, art, drawing and lots more. Your working hours will be after school time during 2:45-5:30pm

Requirements

The support play leader will care for the children alongside experienced staff and may be offered development as required.

Suggested qualifications (SVQ) in Level 2 in Playwork (SCQF Level 6)

Relevant experience, for example as a child carer , 1st Aider, Food Hygiene, Infection Control and having Child Protection training is beneficial to this role. But we do provide training.

By law, all staff must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).You will require a satisfactory PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check to show that you are suitable for this type of work. We do this for you.

Key skills - reliable and able to work within the specified hours; Enthusiastic, good team worker, patient and caring, able to get on well with the children.

You may have: a real interest in developing children through play, imagination, good communication skills, a sense of fun, the ability to motivate children, the ability to supervise children
