As a Support Officer you will play a crucial role in supporting the People We Support to sustain their tenancies and live independently. You will provide tailored support, advice, and assistance to individuals and families in need, helping them to overcome challenges and access the necessary services and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake initial assessments and support referrals.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop individualised support plans.
Provide advice and assistance on housing options, benefits, and financial management.
Support the People We Support in accessing healthcare, employment, education, and other community resources.
Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, and other agencies to coordinate support services.
Monitor and review progress, adjusting support plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Advocate on behalf of the People We Support to ensure their rights and needs are met.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Travel to different service locations within your area.
For this position the successful candidate will be required to cover the Grimsby and Skegness area. For a further breakdown of the locations please get in touch.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant qualification in social work, housing, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Experience in a similar role, providing support to vulnerable individuals and families.
Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and support services.
Experience with Anti-Social behaviour is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and case management software.
Full UK Driving License with Business Insurance
