We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Practitioner to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with mental illness and possible underlying drug/alcohol issues within our residential/housing support services. This role involves supporting residents and clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities
Provide quality support services to clients through effective support planning, monitoring, evaluation and review of their identified needs.
Provide practical assistance with independent living skills encouraging and promoting responsibility and personal choice.
Assist clients to develop a mental health well being strategy.
Work as part of an established team within residential and housing support services.
Respond to risks and challenges competently that may occur whilst supporting clients.
Requirements
Knowledge of mental illness and understanding of the factors which affect health and well being.
Excellent communication skills.
Relevant qualifications such as SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care desired (minimum SVQ2)
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
Basic I.T. skills
Registration with (SSSC) Scottish Social services Council and PVG
5 days over 7 shift pattern with a sleep-over shift with additional payment.
