We are looking for

Support Practitioners

who will aid our residents in all aspects of their daily routines by providing support to them, they want to achieve their aspirations, goals and plans and we want to encourage them! We want our people to achieve and reach their full potential be it our residents or staff!

As a staff practitioner you will support our residents to; attend appointments, carry out their household tasks, integrate within the community, be as independent as possible and maintain contact with their families and friends. We also support our residents with their personal care, structure and routines whilst respecting their dignity, privacy and promoting independence and expectations.

If you are this person you may have previous experience of working with those with Autism and / or a Learning Disability. We offer full training as well as opportunities for on-going learning and development.

You should be able to use your own initiative as well as work as part of a team, be self-motivated & patient.

Our average working week is 36 hours plus sleep in cover. This is a shift working pattern where you will be expected to work every other weekend.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing

personal care and support to our residents, including helping them with daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, and meal preparation whilst respecting their dignity, privacy and promoting independence. .

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an understanding of the challenges faced by those living in a care home environment.

The Support Practitioner will also be expected to provide emotional support to residents and their families, and maintain a safe and secure environment.

You will support our residents to attend appointments, carry out their household tasks, integrate them within the community and maintain contact with their families and friends.

Responsibilities

:

Ensure that the care home meets the standards of quality and safety. Provide emotional and practical support to residents. Monitor the physical and mental health of residents. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Maintain records of resident's progress and activities. Develop individual care plans for each resident. Provide advice and guidance to family members and other carers. To name a few! Everyday is different!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
