Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive administrative and PA service within the identified service areas. The post holder will provide leadership to Team coordinators and the wider administrative teams within their identified service Line.



The post holder will undertake corporate roles and responsibilities in accordance with the grade and nature of the post, and in line with an agreed Job plan.

We are pleased to offer three Band 5 Administration Team Leader roles within our dynamic and supportive administrative services across Leeds and York.

These office-based roles are central to ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of administrative support across our Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) and CAMHS services. Working closely with clinical and operational colleagues, you will provide consistent, high-quality and responsive administrative leadership.



We are recruiting to:



Two full-time (37.5 hours) Band 5 posts to provide shared support across three services. This arrangement will promote equitable coverage, improve resilience and ensure a balanced distribution of workload.

Two part-time Band 5 posts (18.75 hours in Leeds and 18.75 hours in York) to strengthen support for the CAMHS service. This structure will ensure a consistent on-site presence across both locations, fostering stronger engagement with clinical and administrative teams, improving communication and enhancing coordination.



The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. As a teaching trust with strong links to local universities, we are a centre of excellence for teaching, research and development.

Applicants should be aware that individuals requiring a visa to work in the UK, the Trust only provides sponsorship for registered healthcare practitioner roles (this does not include Healthcare Support Workers) . This is an essential requirement, and the Trust is unable to offer you a role if you do not meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa.



All postholders will lead a team of administrative coordinators, providing clear direction, supporting performance and driving continuous improvement. Success in this role will depend on your ability to promote collaboration, ensure compliance with Trust policies and uphold high standards of service.



You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality administrative and personal assistant service across designated service areas, ensuring operational consistency and excellence. The role includes strategic oversight and day-to-day leadership of Team Coordinators and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and service improvement.

In addition to core responsibilities, you will contribute to wider corporate functions in line with the scope and level of the role, working to an agreed job plan. Your work will support the Trust's long-term ambitions, including the delivery of its 10-Year Plan, by enabling efficient systems, improving service user experience and strengthening organisational resilience.
