The Parish of Warrington is looking for a new Support Services Manager to help us. We are currently 12 Church of England parishes working towards becoming one larger single parish, with more effective administration and support structures to support local churches, enabling them to focus on local ministry and mission.

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Support Services Manager to lead our Support Services Team. As the Support Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of this team, helping us develop efficient and dynamic systems to release our churches to do more mission and ministry. This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced administrator, who is open to seeing how their skills can strengthen the church.
Salary:
(31,590 pa full time equivalent based on 37.5 hour week, 16.20 per hour)
Part-time:
28 hours per week including occasional evening work.
Holidays:
5 weeks plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff)

Main Responsibilities:
To provide the:
Leadership of the Support Services Team in the final stages of the transition and once the Parish of Warrington is legally established.
Liaise with the diocesan team to ensure a smooth transfer to the new charity of the Parish of Warrington and lead on all new registrations
Line Management of the Finance Officer and two Administration Officers
Co-ordination of HR matters relating to the Parish of Warrington's employees with expertise/support from an external HR Consultancy, as required
Compliance with H&S requirements for the Parish of Warrington
Managing all activities relating to ensuring all church buildings (including Halls) are compliant with regulations and statutory requirements including liaison with local representatives
Centralised procurement of key services and products for the parish as a whole eg insurance, utilities, annual inspections, regular small works
Compliance with GDPR
Overseeing the administration of all aspects of Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment of staff and volunteers
Developing funding streams for the future parish, and providing the required information for the funds from the Diocesan Improvement Plan bid.
Overall oversight for
o Policies and procedures
o Document management
o Administration of occasional offices
o IT management including Churchsuite, Sharepoint
o Communications (including the Parish-wide Social Media Protocol)
General office management
Contribute to efficient administration and shared file systems, for example, Microsoft 365 including Sharepoint
Undergo training as appropriate, especially in the use of bespoke software packages
Be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of effective (electronic and paper) filing systems for all your designated areas of work
