Water Safety: RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Coaching: Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach (Level 1), looking to progress to the Swim England Swimming Coach (Level 2) qualification
Safeguarding: Swim England recognised Safeguarding certificate
DBS check carried out prior to employment
*Funding available towards Water Safety, Coaching and Safeguarding where required
Working Hours:
Part time (flexible from 4 up to 8 hours per week)

Bury St Edmunds / Culford, Suffolk

Haverhill, Suffolk
Salary:
17 - 19 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

About West Suffolk Swimming Club:
WSSC was formed in 1999 and is a member of Swim England (SE) Suffolk County and SE East Region. We offer a structured squad training and competition from within the club up through County, Regional and National level at both age group and Masters level. WSSC is SwimMark accredited.
Hours:
Between 4 - 8 hours per week on evenings and weekends
Attendance at some competitions (which may require local travel), as required by theHead Coach
Cover across squads as required
Skills Required:
The ability to plan and execute training sessions suitable for the squad
Technical knowledge as required for the level
Effective communication skills
The ability to motivate the swimmers to achieve their best
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
The ability to work with volunteers and other members of coaching staff
Excellent time management skills
Knowledge of the Optimum Athlete Development Framework (OADF)
Objectives:
We are looking to bring in a support coach to cover sessions across all squads, along with additional support for the current training programme on offer.We are looking for someone who has the passion and desire to coach across all ages and abilities, from novice, up to County, Regional and National level, working closely with the Head Coach.
Job Role:
Deliver and / or support with coaching sessions for the designated squad, as instructed by the Head Coach
Attend coaching meetings
Work effectively with any volunteers working with you on the poolside
Ensure that correct records are kept including registers
Attend and support competitions as and when required
To represent WSSC in a professional and positive manner
