We provide high-quality, 24/7 semi-independent accommodation and support for young people aged 16-18. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you'll make a real difference in the lives of young people as they develop independence and navigate challenging experiences.
As a Support Worker, you will be a key person for young people in our service, helping them stay safe, develop practical skills, and feel supported as they transition to independent living.

45 hours per week, including sleep-ins
Shift Pattern:
Start: 10:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Sleep-in: 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Off shift the following day at 10:30 AM
Pattern: 3 shifts per week
Pay:
12.21 per hour
60 per sleep-in
Key Responsibilities
Provide unconditional support to young people to meet their physical, emotional, and day-to-day needs
Offer 1:1 and group support (e.g., budgeting, college attendance, emotional regulation)
Help young people develop independent living skills and transition into the community
Support access to local services, facilities, and additional resources
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
Promote self-esteem, emotional safety, and personal growth
Encourage positive behaviour and coping strategies
Ensure safeguarding is prioritised and incidents are responded to appropriately
Take part in reviews, assessments, and referrals with internal and external professionals
Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with the team
Work within Ofsted and company policies and standards
Contribute to the continuous development of high-quality care
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to support vulnerable young people, who brings energy, empathy, and resilience to their work. You'll need to be proactive, positive, and have a good sense of humour, as well as the ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
Essential Experience (One of the Following):
At least 1 year working in a children's home, 16+ accommodation, or with young people presenting challenging behaviour
OR
At least 3 years of experience providing care and/or support in another social care setting for children or young people
Skills and Personal Qualities:
Compassionate, approachable, and non-judgemental
Emotionally resilient and able to manage challenging situations
Confident working alone or as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Committed to safeguarding and upholding professional boundaries
Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight sleep-ins
Qualifications:
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children's Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
OR
a commitment to achieving this qualification through training
Requirements:
Proven experience working with young people in residential or 16+ care
Must do overnight sleep-ins as part of the role
Must be 18 or over
Must have the right to work in the UK
Good level of spoken and written English
Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check
A clear criminal record is essential
Excellent understanding of safeguarding young people is essential
