What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life.

Where you will be working

Location: 1A Upper Brighton Road, Surbiton, Surrey KT6 6LQ

1A Upper Brighton Road based in Surbiton is part of our learning disability and autism division and provides support for people who may be living with severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours which, due to their diagnosis may be seen as challenging.
Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments and physical health problems.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will offer support to people as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support.

Your aim will be to encourage individuals to lead a full and valued life, enabling them to live more independently through a programme of active community engagement, developing meaningful social networks and developing robust coping strategies.

The shift patterns include working on rota 7am -2.30pm; 2.30pm - 10:00pm.

Permanent, 37.5 hours full-time position. We can discuss the long shifts or extra hours if required.

All what we expect from you is

  • Must be driver and hold the UK driving license, as part of the role, you will be using the company vehicle to escort the staff and service users to the local destinations. This is to accommodate the needs of our service users in the most efficient manner.
  • Must be local or based at a commutable distance and time
  • The ability to show strong empathy, a caring and compassionate nature
  • Willing to support the resident with the personal hygiene
  • People skills, communication skills and a good sense of humour
  • Willingness to deal with the challenging behaviour
  • A positive & professional approach
  • Reliability, flexibility, hard work and honesty
  • Team working ethos aligned to our company values
  • You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa\'s cannot be accepted.

*Base annual salary without overtime starts at \xc2\xa321,547
*\xc2\xa3500 welcome bonus offered on the full time contracts only, paid \xc2\xa3250 on the first wage, and \xc2\xa3250 after three months once passed the probation.
