Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
Providing emotional support and companionship to clients.
Preparing meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Assisting with heavy lifting when necessary to support clients with mobility challenges.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Driving clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in patient care, childcare, or within a nursing home or hospice care environment is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of medication administration procedures and best practices.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to care.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when required.
A commitment to providing high-quality support and care tailored to individual needs.
