We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated
Support Worker
to join our care team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care to individuals across various settings private residences. This role blends practical caregiving duties with emotional support, ensuring each client receives assistance in a manner that upholds their dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Note:
A full UK manual driving license with no driving convictions is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
personal care
to clients, including support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities.
Accurately
administer prescribed medications
, following established healthcare protocols and medical guidance.
Maintain clear, up-to-date
care records
, noting changes in health, behaviour, or condition.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement
individualised care plans
.
Apply appropriate
medical terminology
in written and verbal communication with colleagues and healthcare providers.
Offer
companionship and emotional support
, fostering trust and a sense of comfort for each client.
Attend and contribute to
case management and review meetings
, helping to evaluate care strategies and adapt as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in
Support work
,
home care
, or
hospice care
is highly desirable.
A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is an advantage but not essential.
Strong
interpersonal and communication skills
, with the ability to build trust with clients and their families.
A sincere and empathetic approach to care, demonstrating a
genuine passion
for helping others.
Ability to
work independently
and
collaboratively
in a fast-paced, dynamic care environment.
Must hold a
full UK manual driving licence

Work Pattern
This position follows a
four-week rolling rota
with a mix of daytime hours and overnight sleep-ins.

: 12:00 noon start with sleep-in until 10:00am Monday

: 3:00pm start with sleep-in until 10:00am Monday
