Support Worker

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and committed Support Worker to join our care team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals in diverse settings, including private residences.

This role combines practical caregiving with emotional support, ensuring every client is treated with dignity and respect, while promoting their independence and overall wellbeing.

Please note: A full UK manual driving licence with no driving convictions is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities. Administer prescribed medication accurately in accordance with healthcare guidelines and medical instructions. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date care records, documenting any changes in client health, behaviour, or condition. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement tailored care plans. Use appropriate medical terminology in both written documentation and verbal communication with colleagues and healthcare providers. Provide companionship and emotional support, creating a safe and trusting environment for clients.
Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in support work, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and their families. A compassionate, empathetic approach with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care. Capable of working independently as well as within a team in a dynamic and fast-paced care setting. A

Work Pattern

This role operates on a four-week rolling rota, including daytime hours and overnight sleep-ins.

Week One

Sunday: 12:00 noon ? sleep-in until 10:00am Monday Monday morning: 3 hours Total: 13 hours + 1 sleep-in

Week Two

Sunday: 3:00pm ? sleep-in until 10:00am Monday Monday morning: 3 hours Total: 10 hours + 1 sleep-in

Week Three

Sunday: 12:00 noon ? sleep-in until 10:00am Monday Monday morning: 3 hours Total: 13 hours + 1 sleep-in

Week Four

Saturday: 10:00am ? work through to 10:00am Monday (includes two sleep-ins) Monday morning: 3 hours Total: 30 hours + 2 sleep-ins

Pay Period Total:

66 hours + 4 sleep-ins (averaging 16.5 hours per week + 1 sleep-in)
