We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate

Support Worker

British Sign Language (BSL)

skills to join our team at

Richmond House

in Yorkshire and the Humber.

This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to individuals with hearing impairments and additional needs, helping them to live as independently and confidently as possible. You'll play a key role in promoting inclusion, communication, and personal development within a caring and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support to individuals who are deaf or have hearing impairments, ensuring effective communication using BSL. Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties while respecting individual dignity and preferences. Encourage and enable participation in meaningful activities, hobbies, and community engagement. Support individuals to develop essential life skills, promoting independence and self-confidence. Maintain clear and accurate records in line with care plans and organisational standards. Collaborate with families, colleagues, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, consistent care. What We're Looking For

Proficiency in British Sign Language (minimum Level 2 preferred).

A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Previous experience in a care or support setting is desirable but not essential -- full training will be provided.
