An exciting opportunity has arisen for a support worker to join us, working at our Care Home within our Campus of Care setting, if you are a caring individual who is passionate about delivering person centered care and can make a positive impact in the lives of those we support, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for dynamic support workers to support people with learning disabilities and additional health care needs, you will provide care and support to a small group of residents enabling them to access their local community and will provide support with various activities and outings such as swimming, attending church, going for walks, and engaging with others while attending social events within the home.

The role of support worker will involve administration of medication, PEG care and feeding, providing personal care, support with mealtimes and other activities as required. You will ensure the support provided is person-centered and meets the individuals' specific needs, you will be working as part of a small, dedicated team.

You will be supporting people with some additional physical needs which will involve moving and assisting, using equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs. As well as with people with limited /nonverbal communication and those who may present with behaviors which could pose challenging for person centered engagement.

A driving license is desirable.

To be eligible for this role you will need to have acceptable membership of the PVG scheme, become registered with an appropriate regulatory body within 6 months of the start of your employment and be qualified to at least SVQ Level III or HNC Social Care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.60-13.45 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
