About The Role





We are looking for a

Children's Support Worker/Carers

to join our team in Liverpool. You must have a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables young people to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences.

Support Worker - Children's Services

Hours:

Full Time, 40 hours per week

Ideally looking for candidates who can drive, due to commitments needed by the service, however, we can be flexible with this.

For Support Worker positions although an understanding of the role is desirable, it is not essential as training will be provided. Ideally, you will:





Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Have previous experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities.

You will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of the team.


The role







You will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents. Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way. Facilitating social, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice. Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is a key priority. The role requires you to undertake all aspects of day to day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping. Our young people also need to be supported to manage their personal care and hygiene.

About The Service




Millie's Courtyard - Courtyard Care is a single level, self-purpose-built home. Built for up to 5 children with complex medical needs and learning difficulties, who we can support up until their 18th birthday.
