Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will help adults with learning disabilities, Autism and mental health conditions live independently by providing support tailored to their needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting social skills, and helping individuals engage with the community. Experience in complex care is desirable. Assistance with personal care is a requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and support with moving and handling, PEG feeding, and oral feeding, tailored to individual needs.
Assist with activities of daily living, including meal planning, cooking, personal hygiene, and household tasks.
Promote independence and support the development of essential life skills.
Accompany and support individuals to attend medical and professional appointments, as well as participate in social and community activities.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily records, care logs, and safety checks, in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
Administer medication safely and ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment at all times.
Collaborate effectively with families, advocates, and professionals to deliver person-centred care and achieve the best outcomes for individuals.
Requirements:
Clean Full UK Driving Licence (required to drive mobility cars).
Experience in supported living or similar settings preferred.
Commitment to safeguarding and providing high-quality support.
Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility.
Additional Information:
The position requires an enhanced criminal records check.
