About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and experienced female Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to a young woman in her early 20s. She has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Disorganised Attachment Disorder, Dyspraxia, and Anxiety, and requires someone who can offer patient, trauma-informed support tailored to her unique needs.

female applicants only
(Exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent, person-centred care that promotes independence and emotional well-being.
Build a trusting and supportive relationship using trauma-informed approaches.
Assist with daily living tasks and encourage structured routines - personal care support is limited to verbal prompts, as she is independent with tasks such as showering.
Support her to access the community, attend appointments, and engage in meaningful activities.
Ensure a calm, safe, and supportive environment at all times.
Drive her to and from locations, as she prefers not to use public transport.
Essential Requirements:
Female (genuine occupational requirement)
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
Experience working with individuals with complex emotional needs and/or trauma backgrounds
Understanding of autism, anxiety, and neurodiversity
Ability to work in a calm, non-judgmental, and supportive way
Reliable, patient, and emotionally resilient
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications in health and social care
Training or experience in trauma-informed approaches, emotional regulation, or mental health support
