About Me
I am looking for a reliable and compassionate support worker to assist me. I am a
29-year-old autistic adult
who is an
ambulatory wheelchair user
, which means I can walk but need it to help manage pain and fatigue when travelling longer distances. I am chronically ill and need help with daily living and accessing the outside world.
I have a huge interest in
buses and photography
and often take photos of buses from the car or at bus stations -- expect to see me take lots of pictures!
I'm
not religious
but I value
kindness, equality, and fairness
. I'm looking for someone who is
open-minded, inclusive, and shares progressive values
-- someone who believes in treating everyone with respect, regardless of gender identity, sexuality, disability, or background.
This is also a
safe and welcoming environment
for
LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people
, and anyone who supports equality and compassion will fit in well here. I don't agree with hating others when they have done nothing wrong.
I'm looking for someone who understands that, due to my health and fatigue, some days my living space may need a bit of extra practical support. It's important that you're patient, understanding, and non-judgmental when helping me manage household tasks. I've been working with my current support worker to gradually organise and improve my space, so I'd like someone who can continue helping me make steady progress with that.
