Can you put a spring back into Sue's steps and ready for a fresh challenge and to make the move to the Joint Community Rehabilitation service? Sue lost confidence after injuring her hip in a fall, but she wanted to be able to walk her dog, Daisy, to the local park again.
We work with clients like Sue to achieve the goals that are important to them. This may be walking Daisy to the park, staying well or adjusting to a new routine. The Joint Community Rehabilitation service is at the heart of care in the community. Our teams assist older adults after an illness or injury get back to independence in their own home. Working alongside other professionals, you may initially be providing some personal care, helping with therapy exercises, and giving emotional support to help clients regain the skills and confidence they need to manage these everyday tasks themselves.
As a JCR Support Worker, you will be supporting an everchanging group of people across the local community to regain independence, because of this a driving licence and access to a car is needed to meet the travel requirements of the post.
We are looking for candidates who:
Display a caring and empathetic approach.
Can adapt to meet the individual needs of our clients.
Can work as part of a team.
Have a driving licence and access to a car to meet the travel requirements of the post.
