Alabare are looking to recruit Support Workers for our Learning Disabilities Home and Community Service based in Salisbury covering approx. 10 mile radius of Salisbury and Amesbury. Various contracted hours available full and part time. Shifts to include days, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins.

This exciting position calls for a flexible approach and will involve the delivery of all aspects of daily living within a supported living accommodation or in a clients' own home.

The right candidate will strive to promote independence at all times while assisting clients to maintain their accommodation and lead fulfilling lives. The role includes supporting clients with various tasks which may include social and leisure activities and to be proactive in supporting clients to achieve their goals and outcomes. This requires the right applicant to have an enthusiastic approach when supporting with days out, social clubs and holidays and to develop and maintain successful relationships with families, friends and within the local community. There is a requirement to support with practical tasks in the home, which can include menu planning, cooking, shopping, budgeting and money management, managing a tenancy and dealing with correspondence and bills. At times there may be a requirement to support with personal care or supporting to work towards independence with personal care needs and to support with medication and attending medical appointments.

Job Specifics:



Hourly rate 12.70 rising to 12.88 after completing a successful probation period. Full-time annual salary of 24,765.00 rising to 25,116.00.

Benefits:



Double time on nominated bank holidays. Minimum of 24 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays. Paid travel time with mileage paid at 45p per mile. NEST Pension. Where applicable, Sleepovers are paid at a competitive rate of 70 per sleep. Excellent accredited training. Refer a friend scheme, 150 on joining and a further payment of 150 after 6 months service. Flexible working (where possible). Sickness allowance after 6 months service. Employee Assistance Programme - Mindful employer.

In return for this, we are looking for someone who has:



A Willingness to learn. You must be currently resident in the UK. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must be confident working as part of a team and on your own. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Can maintain professional boundaries at all times. You must be friendly and well-organised with an excellent work ethic. Knowledge and understanding of adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. Hold a CF (NVQ) 2 in Care or relevant experience and be prepared to work towards level 3. Car driver preferred but not essential.
