As well as providing physical and emotional support, depending on the role you may be needed to provide personal care, assist with taking or administering of medication and support individuals with specific healthcare needs.
Experience our Support Workers need:
PROACT SCIPr-UK training.
Autism and Learning Disability awareness.
Epilepsy.
Eating and Swallowing difficulties.
Moving and handling experience.
Innate ability to be compassionate and patient.
Commitment to person-centred care and empowering individuals through Active Support.
Previous experience with supporting individuals with complex needs, for example; epilepsy, mental health conditions, learning and physical disabilities.
A clear written and verbal communication technique, along with basic IT skills and numerical ability.
