Part-time Temporary Contracts Complex Care Support Worker Maternity Cover

We are looking for two individuals to join a professional team of support workers who can work on a 2:1 basis within the family home with the 33ear old Male Client.
The Job role will entail -
To work in partnership with parents, colleagues and other professionals working with the client and their family, ensuring physical, emotional, social and therapeutic needs are met.
To care for the client in line with their bespoke care plan including -
Personal care
Intimate care
All aspects of daily living
Preparations of nutrition/PEG Feeding
Administering medication This will only be appropriate once medication training has been completed and with permission of parents.
Hoisting & Transfers
Communication
Therapy programmes
Leisure activities
Social activities including using community resources
Transportation and escort
Family, social and leisure activities
Supporting on family holidays
Driving the client's vehicle
To ensure the client has a right to privacy and dignity at all times.
To develop caring and professional trusting relationships.
To keep the client's room and bathroom clean and tidy and respect the wishes of the client's mother.
To manage the client's laundry
To promote and monitor health, safety and security whilst at work, either in the client's home or whilst out in the community
To work on any therapy programmes i.e. Physio/Occupational Therapy/Speech & Language under the supervision and guidance of the chartered therapist.
To attend any meetings as required concerning the client.
To ensure all records are kept up to date at all times.
To undertake induction and relevant training programmes as required in order for you to carry out your work.
To attend and participate in supervision, appraisal and any staff meetings as required by the Case Manager/parent
To undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
To drive the client's vehicle safely and responsibly.
To deal with and record petty cash transactions using the agreed format.
To undertake induction and relevant training programmes as required in order for you to carry out your work.
Support workers to work in hospital during any admissions.
