Spectrum days is a unique and valuable day centre for children and adults with physical disabilities and complex needs. We have three spacious activity rooms with a specialised sensory room and changing areas alongside a sensory garden and an area to relax in outdoors. We have ceiling hoists fitted throughout so our members can safely be supported out of their wheelchairs to see life from a different perspective. We provide support for our members at home and in our high spirited and vibrant day centre. We provide support for people who have unique support needs.

Your daily tasks will include:

Keeping members comfortable, happy and content by following their physical management and physio plans. Supporting them to fulfil their wishes and needs throughout each day. Empowering our members to make their own life choices and give them independence they deserve and require. Supporting our members to maintain friendships and make new friends in their social network and outside of their social network. Support our members with our specialised activities such as music therapy, art therapy, physio therapy , rebound therapy, hydrotherapy. Encourage our members to be involved in community based activities to be included in society. Encourage different methods of communication for those who may have difficulties. Providing personal care (washing, dressing and oral hygiene). for our individuals who cannot do this themselves.

Current contracts available

30 hours (M to F Until April 2026)
24 hours (M,Tu,Th,F only until December 2025)
12 hours (M & F only until May 2026)

Shift patterns will vary over your contracted days. All staff will be required to support with our transport fleet collecting our members from their homes and bringing them into our day centre and taking them back home of an evening. You will not be required to do this every day, however part of your contracted hours will be made up with shifts across transport and centre work. The earliest a shift will start is usually 7am and the latest a shift will finish is usually 6pm. We do not currently have any weekend work as our Day Centre is open Monday-Friday only. We are closed on Bank Holidays.
