As a Support Worker in one of our homes at Carmand you are required to provide support to service users, ensuring the promotion and provision of the highest standard of care is always delivered, to maximise their quality in life in a way that respects their privacy and dignity, whilst promoting independence and ensuring recognition of equality and diversity. Supporting the development of life skills with each individual is a key part of the role.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
Delivering the Carmand ethos and standards to all service users.
General day-to-day upkeep on the house including tasks of cleaning.
Assisting service users with meal preparations and cooking.
Assisting service users where support is required, following support plans, risk assessments, positive behavioural support plans and personal moving and handling plans.
Supporting residents to participate in; educational sessions, physical activities, group activities and activities of daily living.
Accompanying residents to appointments and recording outcomes of meetings, representing Carmand in the required manor.
Documenting and evidencing support by completing daily notes and be involved in discussing how best to support someone's need in the least restrictive way, and promoting positive outcomes.
Ensuring that knowledge and training is up to date.
Maintaining the supportive and positive ethos of the house.
Working and developing the relationship as key worker with an individual resident, to develop their care.
Working collaboratively with service users and other staff within the house and through out Carmand.
Developing a positive culture within the home.
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time positions available.
Part-time hours: 12-36 per week
Salary: 11.44 per hour
