Support worker/ Personal Assistant/ Carer

Milton Keynes

A part time support worker is required to join a small friendly team providing one to one support to an adult male with acquired brain injury, living in his family home. Your role will include providing assistance with personal care, domestic tasks and implementing his therapy program, alongside taking him out in the community. He enjoys swimming, football and going out for meals. You will need to hold a manual driving licence in order to drive his Motability vehicle.

We are looking for energetic and active individuals to bring new ideas to encourage him to try more activities and develop his confidence.

Hours are flexible, although his shifts are primarily 8.30am to 3.30pm daily. We are looking for someone to cover 6 hours on a Friday each week. With some flexibility to cover other days for when staff are on annual leave.

You must be:

Approachable, patient, positive and friendly. Have a good sense of humour. Hold a full driving licence. Have some experience of working in the community. Have a flexible approach to work. Comfortable with his pet cat.
