We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic

Support Worker

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support to transgender individuals, helping them with daily tasks, emotional well-being, and personal development. Ensure a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment that respects each individual's identity and experiences. Support service users in navigating health, social, and practical needs, advocating where necessary. Assist with communication, maintaining confidentiality and respecting personal boundaries. Promote independence and confidence while offering emotional support, especially during periods of transition. Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual.

What We're Looking For

Experience

in a support or care role, ideally within the LGBTQ+ community (though not essential). A genuine

commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect

for all individuals, with a clear understanding of transgender issues and challenges. Strong

communication skills

with the ability to build trusting relationships. Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude toward empowering individuals in their transition journey. A

team player

who can also work independently when needed. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
