, supporting a 28 year-old lady service user who has complex needs, living in her own supported living bungalow, close to Brierfield train station (between Nelson and Burnley). She requires 24-hour support, on a 2:1 basis during the day and one person sleeping overnight.

- We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, inclusive and organised individuals with a person-centred outlook and commitment to maintaining the service user's independence in her home and out in the community. This involves supporting all aspects of daily living, including domestic tasks, mobility, communication and personal care.

Being a good communicator and team player, with

a full/clean driving licence,

able to drive a manual car and

confident in a swimming pool

, are key requirements as the role includes driving a wheelchair adapted car to access social activities in the community, including walking in a swimming pool.

Full induction and ongoing, bespoke training will be provided. Experience of supporting young people with additional needs is preferred, but personality, common sense and flexibility are just as important.

Work pattern:

Shifts are arranged on a rota basis, across 7 days a week. This includes working two 14-hour 'Day' shifts each week, one 10.5-hour sleeping 'Night' shift a week and one 10-hour 'On-Call' night shift a week, with the opportunity for additional Relief hours.

Salary: Specialist Support Worker

25,000

per year (based on a full-time 35.75 hour week) plus

13.43

per hour for additional Relief hours.
