Residential Support Worker Children's Homes



Location: Rossendale area



Salary:

25,552 plus 3000 - 6000 pa for sleep-ins. (62.64 per sleep-in)

Shift patterns -

Full time working long days plus extra sleep in (approx. 4-6 sleep ins per month)


Full UK Driving licence is required.


Cherry House is a 4 bedroom home and we currently have 4 children aged 9,10,12 and 13. We provide long term therapeutic care for young people who have been diagnosed as having complex needs associated with attachment difficulties. We aim to provide a homely and loving environment where our children feel safe and loved and to give them the opportunity to thrive in all areas of their lives.


You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.

What do you need?



We want people who are naturally caring, nurturing and emotionally resilient. Great communication skills, positive and energetic who likes to have fun. Experience is not essential as we provide training, more important is life skills and

a desire and passion to support children.

Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations. Full UK Driving licence is essential. You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
