Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes, supported living facilities and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively with care teams to deliver person-centred care plans.

Duties



Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, dignity, and choice. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress, incidents, and changes in condition. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Drive/transport clients to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures at all times.

Requirements



Previous experience in a care home, supported living, or domiciliary care setting is essential. NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable (or a willingness to work towards it). Enhanced DBS check required. Valid driving licence desirable for transporting clients when necessary. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and accessing care plans. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required. Awareness of safeguarding, duty of care, and confidentiality.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
