Job Description


Full-time, 35 hours per week. This is a fixed term role for 3 months.

About us: Derbyshire Home Care, a supported living service catering to individuals with Learning disabilities, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supported Living Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to the residents. The role involves promoting independence and choice in line with the organization\'s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities: * Service Management: Ensuring the service is well-run and in compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.

  • Team Management: Line managing a dedicated staff team, providing effective leadership and clear direction.
  • Registration: Responsible for holding registration of the supported living service.
  • Financial and Health & Safety Management: Fulfilling statutory obligations related to financial and health & safety matters.
  • Systems and Procedures: Implementing systems and procedures aimed at achieving positive outcomes for disabled individuals.
  • Compliance: Ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of requirements set by regulatory bodies.
  • Staff Development: Overseeing recruitment, selection, and ongoing training and development of staff.
Requirements: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Significant experience in a supervisory or management capacity within a care environment.
  • Flexibility to work according to rostered hours.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and manage budgets.
  • Thorough understanding of assessing personal support needs and the ability to write and review comprehensive personalized support plans.
