We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support a positive and resilient woman who is determined to stay independent. She has limited mobility, poor balance, and weak hand dexterity, which means she needs help with some everyday tasks to live safely and comfortably at home.

Support is needed with shopping -- either going on her behalf or taking her with you if she feels up to it. She also needs help reaching high items, carrying groceries, and putting things away. Light cleaning at waist level is something she enjoys, but the PA will be responsible for other household tasks like laundry and general cleaning to help keep her home safe and tidy. You may need to also support her with doctors appointments if she has any on the day by taking her there and being with her.

Meal preparation is another key part of the role, along with some personal care. This includes helping her wash areas she can't reach (such as her back and legs), washing her hair, and applying prescribed creams. She may also need support with putting on socks and similar tasks due to her difficulty bending and standing steadily.

The PA should be observant and able to notice any changes in her health or behaviour that might indicate infection or illness.
