Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to oversee and deliver road surfacing contracts across West Wales, predominantly within the public sector, with a growing portfolio of private clients.

This is a key leadership position, responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients, contractors, and supply chain partners. Lead and motivate site teams, supporting staff development and succession planning. Oversee tendering and win new work through strong client engagement and commercial awareness. Monitor and drive continuous improvement in Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) performance. Ensure all works are completed in accordance with client specifications and company standards. Track project performance, costs, and resourcing across multiple sites.

About You:

Proven experience in road surfacing or civil engineering contracts management. Strong understanding of local authority frameworks, specifications (e.g., SHW), and surfacing techniques. Commercially astute with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities. Skilled communicator and relationship builder, both with clients and internal teams. Passionate about delivering high-quality work and promoting a positive safety culture. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across West Wales.

Contracted Hours - 47.5 hours a week

Salary - Competitive Rates, negotiable depending on experience

Annual Leave - 27 Days + Bank Holidays
