We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
to join our dynamic ENT team at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals . The post holder will work autonomously, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of clinical settings.
As an ANP, you will utilise advanced clinical skills in assessment, examination, diagnosis, and management of ENT conditions, all within a defined scope of practice. You will provide care in line with national standards, meeting the competencies set out by the Centre for Advancing Practice and the Multi-Professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice in England (HEE, 2017).
Key Responsibilities:
Independently assess, diagnose, and manage ENT patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Deliver care across:
+ ENT wards
+ ENT Same Day Emergency Care (SOS) clinics
+ Supervised routine outpatient clinics, including:
- Two-Week Wait (2WW) cancer clinics
- Paediatric ENT clinics Participate in the daytime on-call rota, providing timely clinical input and decision-making support.
Contribute to ENT triaging processes to streamline patient care pathways and ensure appropriate prioritisation.
Work collaboratively within the ENT multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and excellence in care delivery.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be practicing autonomously as an Advanced Practitioner (AP) to provide patient-centred quality care. This will encompass the skills of advanced assessment, examination, diagnosis and management within an agreed scope of practice.
The AP will meet the requirements of the Centre for Advancing Practice's framework and guidelines for advanced level practice.
To work within the Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice in England (HEE 2017). The post holder will deliver clinical care in regard to assessing and Treating ENT patients on the wards, in ENT SOS clinics, supervised routine outpatient clinics (including two wait rule cancer clinics & paediatric clinics) and will be part of the team providing daytime on call cover and partake in ENT triaging.
